Nothing Would Be Finer …

Don’t forget to stop by LBJ’s family ranch near Johnson City, the next time you’re wandering through the Hill Country. The Pedernales River runs deep and smooth in this region and it’s a perfect spot for a picnic lunch.

Shot taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II set on aperture (Av) priority using an EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM tripod mounted. The exposure was taken at 50mm, f/14 for 1/30th of a second at ISO 100 using a Singh-Ray warming polarizer filter and 2-stop, soft, graduated neutral density filter. Post capture processing was done in Adobe’s Lightroom 4.

  1. I really like the vanishing point. Did you think of shooting this with a fisheye lens and correcting the distortion (with DxO Optics would better I believe)? I think it will give more depth, specially if you corrected the distortion without keeping the aspect ratio option on. It would look like a small panoramic shot.
