Landscapes of the Texas Plains & Canyons Book
Folks that visit the Texas panhandle for this first time are generally surprised by just how vast this region really is. During my last two photographic trips to this region I put over 2500 miles on my SUV just driving from Lubbock to Amarillo, to Claude, to Turkey, to Quitaque, to Silverton, to Tulia, to Happy and back to Canyon. It’s only when you stand next to a field of wheat or cotton that stretches as far as the eye can see, that you gain a true sense of scale out here. The plains and canyons of the Texas panhandle are incredible sights to view and photograph.
Each day in the panhandle brings new sights, new weather and new photographic opportunities. It’s a place rich with geology, with history and with passion. The plains and canyons of the Texas panhandle may well be the last region of western frontier left in the country today. From the verdant plains to the deepest canyons, it’s a region like no other.

Hill Country Landscapes Book
In all my travels I’ve never visited a place that felt more like home than the Texas Hill Country. It’s a region like no other on the planet, stretching from La Grange, Smithville and Rockdale in the east to Uvalde, Rock Springs and Junction in the west.; from New Braunfels and San Antonio in the south to Temple and Lampasas in the north. A region of placid rivers in the summer like the Frio, Sabinal and Guadalupe to raging torrents like the Pedernales, Llano and Colorado in the springtime. A region of rolling hills, rocky uplifts and valleys full of deep rich soil. The Texas Hill Country is region of distinct character, as independent as the folks that settled here and as beautiful as any place on Earth.

Jeff,
Those are some great shots. Some friends and I are avid motorcyclists and are always looking for new adventures. Your book will be inspiring some great weekend trips soon. Great photos and keep up the good work. I am about to get a large frame 8×10 camera with assorted Rodenstock lenses out to 480mm. Cannot wait to get started on both projects….

Beautiful! My family lives in the Hill Country, so I visit often and have many childhood memories from there. I’m currently up in North Texas…not near as scenic.
I didn’t think this was possible, but your photos actually make the Hill Country seem even prettier than it is in real life! They are absolutely gorgeous!
Robin,
Thanks for the kind words. I should stop blushing in 30 minutes or so.

Does the 20×16 size refer to the entire poster, or to the print portion?
