Landscape Photography – More Rocks, Trees and Water

Here’s another image taken from a slightly different vantage point, namely in the middle of Onion Creek at the McKinney Falls State Park in Austin, Texas. The water level was so low in this area I was able to climb, jump and slip from rock to rock until I found myself right smack dab in the middle. Makes for an interesting perspective and one that will be impossible to duplicate once the rains come again (he says prayerfully).

  1. I feel so bad about the water situation for you Jeff I have taken to watching the weather for Texas like it was a Baseball game and hoping the home team can pull it out in the ninth inning. Wonderful images, even so. If you really want waterfalls come on up to the NW I can find plenty of water for you to shoot, lol.

    • Ray,

Thanks for the rain dance. I’m sure the Lord will bring us some rain sooner or later. He always does. I’ve spent many soggy hours dodging rain drops in Seattle and Redmond over the years and I admire your tenacity. I’d go crazy within a month without my sweet Texas sunshine.

Have a great weekend and thanks again for reading.

      Jeff

  2. Excellent composition, Jeff. Love the rock leading me to the trees and then the trees taking me to that beautiful sky. Well seen and captured.
