Shot taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II set on aperture (Av) priority using an EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens tripod mounted. The exposure was taken at 28mm, f/14 for 1/80th of a second at ISO 100 using a Singh-Ray warming polarizer filter. Post capture processing was done in Adobe’s Lightroom 3 and Nik’s Silver Efex Pro.

  1. Great shot, Jeff. I have tried several times to get that shot from the same spot. I have always had clear skies, so they were kind of boring. With the dark side of that opposite canyon the exposures were difficult then, too. Your picture, in black-and-white is outstanding.

      We waited all week for some interesting weather and then raced east and west following this storm. It was well worth the effort.
