Sometimes just wandering around a few thousand acres of desert in the heat of the mid-day sun is all you need to appreciate the cooler (but more humid) climate of East Texas. However, with the current drought conditions lingering this winter, the “green-belts” around my neighborhood are beginning to resemble Big Bend more and more each week!

You make me homesick for the Big Bend again, Jeff. I have only been there three times this year. 🙂
I know what you mean, your picture almost resembles my yard. Not worth trying to water it anymore, since we can water only twice a month here in San Angelo.
Bob,
I’m heading to Big Bend again this spring after the TLS in the panhandle. Why don’t you join me? More details to come after the holidays.
Jeff
Sounds like a winner. 🙂
