Olympus Nears

The southern view of the Guadalupe Mountains is something I’ll never get tired of. This section of the Chihuahuan Desert leads straight north to the Guadalupe Mountains and is surrounded by the Delaware Mountains to the south and Sacramento Mountains to the west. Driving along the old Butterfield Stage Route just west of these gorgeous peaks, it’s easy to understand why the Apache and Comanche indians thought of this as sacred ground.
