Aviation Photography – Tight Turn

Here’s another shot taken last fall at the Wings Over Houston air show. This Navy FA-18 Hornet was making a really tight turn when I caught it pulling some major g’s in the corner.

Shot taken with a Canon 40D set on shutter priority (Tv), using an EF 300mm f/4L IS USM. The exposure was taken at 300mm, f/9.5 for 1/500th of a second at ISO 100 on Sandisk digital film. All post capture processing was done in Lightroom 2. Click on the image above for a larger version.
