Private Falls

Much of the river front property in the Texas Hill Country is privately owned, creating a difficult situation for photographers looking to photograph our state’s beautiful rivers. Fortunately, there are hundreds of state and country roads criss-crossing the Guadalupe, Sabinal, Pedernales, Frio, Medina and Nueces rivers. These low-water crossings offers dozens of great photographic locations to choose from, just like this spot on the Guadalupe river near Hunt, Texas.

2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

About 55,000 tourists visit Liechtenstein every year. This blog was viewed about 360,000 times in 2012. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 7 years for that many people to see it. Your blog had more visits than a small country in Europe!

Frio River Reds

The colors changed very rapidly this fall and after the past few years of drought, I’m glad for any autumn colors we get to see here in central Texas.
